Are You Letting Corporate Jargon Leak Into Your Ad Copy?

There must be something in the air—there have been a couple really great articles on the scourge of corporate jargon lately. I was inspired to write a Medium article on the topic after a LinkedIn contact posted this photo of an ad in an airport:

Everyone who commented was stymied about the meaning. I think it says that employees who are able to use technologies like video, chat, etc., work better together? WHAT A CONCEPT.

Cloaking simple ideas in trendy buzzwords heard around the office to make it sound important is not an effective approach to ad or marketing copy. This ad just brings to mind a boring meeting in a sterile boardroom—hardly the kind of inspiring connection you want to make in your customers’ minds.
